When starting out with IBEXHub, you will be given credentials to test our APIs in the sandbox environment. This environment is a replica of our production environment, but is meant for use when testing our APIs with your current infrastructure. Therefore, it has lower rate limits for sending bitcoin, as well as slower endpoint response times. The lower rate limits are meant to protect you from losing anything significant when testing our APIs.
The endpoints that are rate limited are all send endpoints, both on-chain and lightning. This send limit starts at 10000 sats per day, and can be adjusted as needed.
After the necessary steps are taken on the business development side (contracts, etc.) you will be given access to our production environment. This environment is totally separate from the sandbox. This enables you to use the production environment only with completed integrations on your side, while continuing to use the sandbox for testing any new changes before going live.
